How to Build a Fantasy Roster YOU Love

Every single person has preferences in life that make it impossible for all of us to agree on anything it seems. So we have all grown to accept that perfection is an impossibility in this life. We learn that we will never find a partner who is perfect (even if they are perfect to you) but we can certainly find a partner who makes us happy. So I am here to break draft night down for you in a simplified way so you can understand How to Build a Fantasy Roster YOU Love. Let’s start by looking at each portion of the draft like it is a quality of a girl you are considering dating.

First 5 Rounds = Personality

Main thing to understand here is that the first 5 rounds of your fantasy draft are where you begin to build the foundation of your team. These are the most valuable players on the roster who you are going to have to build around. Look at this like the most important thing in a woman, her personality. You need to make sure the boxes for what you want are being checked, that you identify red flags (Busts) to avoid them, and you account for your preferences. Not everyone wants the same type of personality so make sure you know what you like.

If you gravitate towards a partner who is an outgoing extrovert then you might like to draft riskier high upside picks in these rounds. Perhaps you prefer a quiet introvert who enjoys a relaxing night in so you take proven volume players with your first 5 picks. Or maybe your perfect lady is a mix of both so you take an equal amount of high upside players along with very safe options to balance the start of the draft. No matter what helps you start to create what you love, the important thing is to know how the personality you build will be a major factor in determining the rest of your roster.

Second 5 Rounds = Fashion Sense

With the most important thing taken care of it is the natural next step to start figuring out the appearance you prefer while you consider her personality type. It is time to be honest with yourself, is trying to keep up with a high energy extrovert with an edgy appearance something you are up for? If not, maybe you need to start looking into a more conserved appearance that helps you not lose sleep on her wild nights out. Or maybe an introverted personality could get boring for you so you find ways to keep things more fun by selecting some risky outfits to have on the stay at home nights together.

The point being here is that you can use these draft picks to help you feel more confident with the choices you made early in the draft. If you decide to take high ceiling players with an uncertain fantasy floor then it may lead you to finding high volume options in these rounds to stabilize the roster. Deciding on a player like Chris Godwin instead of Christian Watson could be determined by how the first 5 picks went, or vice versa. These are the rounds to start building around the personality to make sure you find compatibility and comfortability through the process.

Third 5 Rounds - Friends

By this point, you have worked to define the most important aspects about this girl but what about her support system. Do you want a bunch of high risk wildcards who push for crazy nights out full of fun but sometimes plenty of trouble. Or would you prefer a tight knit group of safe gals in her corner that enjoy the simpler things like going for brunch after a night of watching movies. The decision all relies on finding the ideal build of people around to ensure her lifestyle keeps you happy and compliments yours.

Just like friends, these players drafted late may not stick around and it is best to know which friends are going to be there for you. Draft players in these rounds that you will get to find out their value to your roster as early as possible so you can replace them if needed. So, whether you take the risky wildcards like rookie wide receivers and explosive gadget players or the safety of handcuff running backs and a second tight end, don’t get too attached.

Bonus: Quarterback and Tight End - The Rack and Rump

Now, everyone always wants to know when you should take a quarterback and a tight end but honestly there is no right answer. But, we can simply break down how these choices can affect your roster by looking at these positions as the boobs (quarterback) and the booty (tight end) of your dream girl. When you decide to prioritize these positions will have an impact on your roster just like how highly you prioritize these assets on a woman can impact who she is; let’s analyze.

For example, you decide to put the priority on your girl having a great rack so you take a quarterback in the first 5 picks. Well as we all know, making that choice means you are taking away from her personality just a little so you have to decide if the sacrifice is worth it. If you want the great butt also and spend on tight end in the first 5 rounds too then be prepared for a big decline in personality; it is just the facts of life.

The same can be applied for the rounds to follow. If you decide to get the rack or the rump in the middle 5 rounds you sacrifice less but having those assets will certainly limit the options your girl has for fashion so she may not be styled perfectly for you. Or you wait for one of these positions until the final 5 rounds and know your girl is going to be spending time in the gym working to improve her body for you which limits the amount of time she has for building the support around her. And lastly, if you wait on both, you focus on this amazing personality and the style that fits just right but with a lack of boob and butt…. Congrats, you created a dude.

So What Do We Recommend?

The perfect roster or girl isn’t possible but we find balance to be the key. You don’t want a girl who lacks major traits you are looking for or who you aren’t compatible with. In the same sense, you don’t want a roster with glaring weaknesses when you leave the draft. Most importantly, know your own preferences so you can make the decisions that lead to a roster you love because you are going to have to spend every day for the next 18 weeks with her.
